Balmessence Lip Treatment Relaunch (2021)
For the 2021 relaunch of Oribe’s Balmessence Lip Treatment, Studio At Large led creative direction across all brand touchpoints.
The campaign explored a modern interpretation of timeless elegance, marrying old-world refinement with contemporary minimalism. The reintroduction of the product featured an updated, vegan formulation and a sleek new stick format, inspired by vintage luxury lighters from the early 20th century. The visual language was informed by the tactile richness of the product’s new packaging — positioning Balmessence as both a beauty essential and a cherished object.
Creative Direction for still and motion assets highlighted the sensorial qualities of the balm: softness, nourishment, and ease. Lighting, texture, and composition were carefully considered to evoke intimacy and luxury, while maintaining Oribe’s signature high-gloss aesthetic. As a result, the relaunch campaign elevated Balmessence as a cornerstone in Oribe’s expanding skincare-inspired portfolio.
